Posted By savemoney

Besides clipping coupons (They never have ones for what I need). I just learned how to make my own foaming soap with the pumps I already have. What else?

Bake your own bread.
Get a vacuum packer and save leftovers
Grow your own tomatoes/peppers/etc… (can be done even in an apartment)
Use reusable containers rather then foil or plastic wrap for storing food/brown bagging lunch.
Use a wash cloth rather then paper towels for cleaning.
Cook from a recipe, rather then using convenience foods/seasonings.
Recycle old clothes as pillows, or use the fabric in scrapbooking, or quilting, etc…
Brew coffee at home and bring it with you in a thermal mug rather then spending $2 a day on Starbucks
Get a filtering water pitcher (Brita or Pur) rather then buying bottled water.
Quit smoking (if you do smoke) Your wallet and your health will thank you.
Switch cell service from a contract to pre-pay. (I recommend Virgin Mobile very highly). Unless you really need to be talking for 400 minutes a month, you are paying for stuff you really do not need.
Cut out any cable TV premium stations that you do not regularly watch. Seriously, when is the last time you actually watched something on _____?

Hope that helps!
