Hi–first off, good luck, what an endeavor! I set up a political research firm online (and through word-of-mouth) and we are flourishing! I went with godaddy.com to order my domain name (org, net, com) and set it upthat night! I don’t need a payment outlet on my site, but you may (?) so I would contact them–GoDaddy is awesome to work with-I misplelled my site name (I guess i was pretty excited) and they switched it and refunded $$…very very helpful helpline. I paid @ $7 for domain names each (use coupon code: OHY3 or Hash3). To build site, it was like a monthy fee of 4-6$ with an email and set up…it is a pretty cool site (I am pretty internet-site building illiterate myself and it was pretty easy to manuvuer) good luck!

Step1– Get a domain name from godaddy is fine– a catchy one that relates to what you will be talking about. Make sure its a .com domain
Step 2- Go to blogger.com get a free account and setup a blog page.
Step3- using url forwarding feature i godaddy- forward your domain name to the blog you created
Blogger is easy to use and easy to update. People will be able to post comments.

Wow. Those are really tuff websites to start, and there are so many websites of that kind out there. I personally recommend starting a niche website instead of a coupon website.

Hello,
Great post. The most important part of business is advertising. This makes or breaks a business. Some of the best ways to advertise I’ve found are:
1. Offline promoting (business cards, flyers, newspaper and other print advertising).
2. Online promoting (buying banner ads, forum posts, email auto replies).
The best method that’s worked for me so far is handing out business cards. I don’t do this in the usual way…. I buy them in bulk from a place online (they give the cards for free, I just paid shipping and handling…they also give a really nice free business card holder, it looks impressive). They’re really high quality. I just put all of the info about my business on the cards, and I hand them out on cars at bus stations, malls, etc. It’s worked out really, really well for me, and it’s completely inexpensive =)

Good Luck with your business!
