there is this really cool website called Powerpay. It shows you how to pay on your cards the most effective way. Like getting rid of all the smaller debts first or paying of the higher interest rate cards. Check it out it is pretty neat!

Just pay 10% per month on each account and in 11 months you should be dept free.

Sometimes the best thing to do is attempt to consolidate your bills to make them more manageable, to begin with though I would get a free credit report, this will show you the areas that are affecting your credit the most and should help you clear your debt faster.

The best one to use is at http://freecreditreport.v8i.info they are government endorsed and completely free, they will give you a report in less than a minute with no hassle.

Good luck

You are certainly right not to go for a loan. Credit cards do not need to be a bad thing if you learn how to use them to your advantage.

What you need to do first is identify the best deal on balance transfers and get yourself a new card and transfer all your existing card debt onto that card. Hopefully it will be a 0% deal. Then, very importantly, cut that card up and do not spend on it, ever. Then cancel and cut up all your old credit cards and do not apply for any more.

Now you can concentrate on paying off your balance as quickly as possible, and ideally before your 0% deal runs out. If you can’t pay it off before then, transfer to a new 0% deal just before the offer ends.

Never just pay the minimum amount on a credit card – pay off as much as you possibly can each month – set up a direct debit so there is no chance you miss a payment and get penalised.

Think about getting some help with budgeting to allow you to make the most of the money you do have.

I would suggest a two fold approach: Set a budget (stick to it) and making more than minimum payments on your credit cards.
Take anything high interest and consolidate it.
There are couple of great people to people lending programs that will
keep you away from banks, yet help your credit score.
