He allowed the house to go into foreclosure. Mean while I was paying rent in an apartment. Now my credit score is in to toilet.
We have no further joint accounts and his parents bought the house. I pay my rent on time and car payment on time.
What is a charge off? Should I bother to pay it? How can I improve my credit score?

When I apply for credit, I’m denied. It seems like I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. I’m afraid to apply for a car loan because I think the interest rate will be too high. I also know that all these inquiries will further reduce my score.

Posted by: | CommentsWe have consumed a lot of debt the past couple years b/c I’ve been sick. I am doing thankfully better now, and we are focusing on paying off all of our debt over the next 2 years (we are very realisitic)
